Climate Change 911 is a non-profit organization focused on climate change education - increasing public awareness, examining causes, and exploring near-term effects. We link intersectional issues like justice, women, and animals to climate change through media and activism.

We are are group of climatologists, scientists, educators and activists whose work is guided by one simple truth: The climate crisis is real and we must start to address it now. 


 Founded and chaired by Dr. Moses Seenarine, our Board of Climate Advisers include Paul BeckwithRobin WestenraSam Carana and Rolly Montpellier. The Board of Directors include:

Monica Bowen is an activist concerned with many social justice issues including the environment, racism, sexism and homophobia.

Charlotte Cressey is an animal rights activist and educator, Chopra-Center certified meditation instructor, originator of Earth Energy Yoga, student in Women’s Studies, lover of life, and enthusiast for the many benefits of a vegan lifestyle.

Julia Orr is a writer and a creative communications strategist who has worked in the for-profit and non-profit sectors. As a native of England, Julia has spent many years living and working in Los Angeles using her spare time to advocate for the welfare of animals and the environment.

Moses Seenarine is the son of Savitri, co-parent of 9-year old Jadauthor of Voices from the SubalternMeat Climate Change (forthcoming) and Cyborgs vs the Earth Goddess (forthcoming), blogger at OpEdNewsactivist, educator, dalit pro-feminist blogger, film-maker, and designer at MyLuv4Earth.

Marina Antoinette Skinner provides management and leadership training for profit and nonprofit organizations, and facilitates staff development workshops and seminars.

Sylvia Hood Washington is founder of Environmental Health Research Associates, LLC (EHRA), Green Buddha Life Books, and LEED AP ID+C, Winfield, Illinois. EHRA develops professional environmental studies for and or about industrial or commercial organizations that produce environmental pollution. LEED helps accredited professionals interested in creating and maintaining sustainable interior spaces for businesses and schools. In 2012, LEED opened an E-Commerce bookstore in downtown Aurora to provide green jobs to local residents who are struggling to find jobs.
